Courtesy of Max, a fun fact of the day! Chicago, aka “The Windy City”, didn’t get that nickname for being windy. The name became popularized in 1876ish when politicians and city advocates were extremely long-winded in talking up the city a lot. I had no idea. Read more on wikipedia.
