@JetBlue made me think I was brilliant

for about 5 seconds anyway. Yesterday, JetBlue tweeted

“What would you say to JetBlue leaders if you had 140 characters? Twitter is now up on the big screen at our spring leadership summit #jblc10

In a moment of brilliance, I decided that this was my big break. I replied

“@JetBlue hire me to build philanthropy into your brand.” 

BRILLIANT. right? I have this whole silly schtick that corporate philanthropy could be the solution to many of the world’s problems, especially ones I care about like poverty. JetBlue is a well-known brand with arguably fantastic branding, but I hear nothing of their involvement in the community (although they support some neat programs). Lots of potential here. The sky’s the limit, and JetBlue could fly above and beyond in your community.

My tweet didn’t get me anywhere but back to wishful thinking. Oh, the talent they’re missing…
